Writing Coach & Editor
Writing is a journey. Are you ready to set out?
I believe we are all artists, and anyone can tell stories and learn to write well. I also believe our hearts and minds rise to whatever intentions we name.
As a Writing Coach and as an Editor, I listen to your needs, help discover how you wish to write, then help you apply your unique vision to the page, whether nonfiction, children's fiction or poetry.
I help you determine what success means to you.
My role is to help craft story and shape it to be sent out into the world.
Believe that it is possible to achieve your heart's writing.
I believe it because I achieve what I wish to. You can, too.

Catherine is not only a gifted writer, but an extremely insightful and thoughtful reader as well. She is kind in her feedback and generous with her time, willing to devote hours to helping writers get their stories and sentences just right.
As a writer of both creative nonfiction and poetry, I have worked with Catherine for over two years and plan to continue through the foreseeable future. I could not complete any writing process without her sensitive, skilled and honest editing.
Catherine discerns the essence of a piece and applies respectful reflection, questioning and probing to help a writer home in on both meaning and structure. She may offer direction but never assumes authority over the writer's voice or subject matter. Catherine's mentorship approach, along with the fine quality of her ear, eye and body of literary reference and lived experience, add up to a uniquely fabulous fit for me as a writer. The icing on the cake: her genuine love for reading thoughtful writing permeates her editing and makes the writer/editor relationship a true joy.
